A TEK BUNKERI, WAS BLEIBT KOLLEKTIV | GENTIAN DODA & MAILUKI FILMS PRODUCTION

Before the fall of the Berlin Wall, in the remote mountains of dictatorial Albania, the Spaç political prison held its inmates under the most inhumane conditions. One day, a visitor arrives from afar, bearing news locked inside a wooden box. She steps into a frozen time, where only exchanges of mute voices echo through the deep silence, while identities have long faded under the watchful eye of authority. Her unexpected arrival stirs a struggle among the prisoners, torn between confronting the outside world or keep hiding from it.

This short film, shot on location, draws from the testimonies of survivors, as a reminder that such horrors were human-made in the Re-Education Unit No. 303 – Spaç Prison.
