ON THE RISE

[…] They [the dancers] shine in a special way in the night's premiere: "Axis" by CND’s Albanian choreographer Gentian Doda. His choreography is more than interesting. With a magnetic start, filled with suggestion, that gives way to a more monotonous phase, which then soars up to a finale of grand importance. Throughout the entire piece, however, Doda presents ideas, demonstrates singularity and employs a vocabulary all his own, something that isn't always easy to find in first-time choreographers.
