Minutemade, »fertig in einer Minute«, sounds like a huge amount of time pressure, and it comes to all the choreographers who want to contribute a new episode to the Gärtnerplatztheater's cult dance soap, which has been firmly established on the annual programme since 2013.
Until »his« episode, every choreographer faces the task of creating, in just five days of rehearsal time, a piece that picks up exactly where the previous episode ended last time. Then two episodes are presented each time: the previous one and the latest in the series. Spontaneous live interactions between choreographers and interactions with the audience are very welcome!
Once again, plenty of creativity is required if the task is mercilessly called: »Ein Raum. Eine Woche. 20 Tänzer.« [One room. One week. 20 dancers.] Once again this season, led by Ballet Director Karl Alfred Schreiner, internationally renowned guest choreographers step up to the demanding mission.
